Chief Mike Metcalf Named Peel Children’s Aid Foundation Champion for Children
(Mississauga, ON) – Peel Children’s Aid Foundation today named Peel Regional Police Chief Mike Metcalf as the Foundation’s inaugural Champion. Representatives from Peel Children’s Aid Foundation awarded the honorary title to Chief Metcalf at an event held at Peel Regional Police Headquarters.
The Champion for Children is an individual who believes in the Foundation’s mandate, and whose own work underscores the importance of helping children living with abuse, poverty and neglect.
“Chief Metcalf embodies the spirit of what Peel Children’s Aid Foundation stands for – protecting children from abuse and neglect and giving them hope for the future,” says Jake Dheer, member of the Board of Directors of Peel Children’s Aid Foundation.
“I am honoured to be Peel Children’s Aid Foundation’s Champion for Children,” says Chief Mike Metcalf. “As Peel’s Police Chief, I see the impact that poverty, abuse and neglect has on our children and youth. I believe that together Peel Regional Police and Peel Children’s Aid Foundation can create a better future for children and families. I am committed to working to achieve that goal.”
Peel Children’s Aid Foundation is a registered charity dedicated to improving the lives of abused, neglected and at-risk children and youth in Mississauga, Brampton and Caledon who are under the supervision of Peel Children’s Aid.
